Environmental climate platform Milkywire has finalised a new round of carbon removal pre-purchases supported by enterprise software provider Salesforce, contracting over 3,600 tonnes of durable carbon dioxide removal across eight technology developers.
The transactions form part of Salesforce’s corporate pledge to contract $100 million in durable carbon removal by 2030, expanding upon a previous 19-supplier procurement round announced in January.
The selection strategy focuses on early-stage, catalytic deployments designed to de-risk novel removal pathways, test first-of-a-kind commercial engineering, and generate open-source technical data for the carbon management sector.
The contracted portfolio spans three primary removal categories:
- Direct Air Capture (DAC): Sirona Technologies will integrate heat pump systems on a commercial DAC facility; Yama will deploy a 365-tonne-per-year demonstration plant in France; Brineworks will pair electrochemical DAC with green hydrogen co-production in the Netherlands; and Deep Sky will execute a DAC-with-mineralisation project in Quebec, Canada.
- Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement (OAE): PRONOE will deploy the European Union’s first land-based OAE system integrated with industrial desalination, while Alkamy Carbon will enhance alkalinity within wastewater treatment infrastructure in India to yield regional operational data.
- Biomass Storage: Carba will process waste biomass into stable biocarbon for landfill burial, and Cowboy Clean Fuels will inject agricultural residues into unmineable coal seams in Wyoming for microbial conversion and geological binding.

Jamila Yamani, Director of Climate and Energy at Salesforce, added that targeting capital toward pilot facilities and demonstration projects provides the practical verification required to inform future industry deployments.
