Moeve has partnered with Accenture to enhance its “Moeve decarbonize” initiative, a programme designed to help industrial clients navigate the complexities of the energy transition. The collaboration will combine Moeve’s energy portfolio with Accenture’s global strategic and technological expertise to support heavy industry in executing decarbonisation plans across the entire value chain.
The partnership aims to provide a comprehensive suite of solutions, including renewable electricity, biomethane, and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), alongside strategies to optimise energy costs. This integrated approach is intended to help industrial firms meet climate objectives without sacrificing market competitiveness.
A central component of the collaboration is the deployment of advanced digital tools, including generative AI. Accenture will leverage these technologies to analyse complex data sets and model transition scenarios, helping customers address sector-specific challenges—particularly the reduction of Scope 3 supply chain emissions.
“The decarbonization of industry is a complex challenge that requires a combination of strategy, technology and rigorous execution,” said Mercedes Oblanca, Market Unit Lead for Spain and Portugal at Accenture. “We will make our capabilities in data, digitalization and AI available to help design and deploy realistic, data-driven decarbonization roadmaps.”
The “Moeve decarbonize” offering operates through a network of strategic partners to provide end-to-end support. The agreement with Accenture follows a similar partnership earlier this year with GreenYellow, which focused on the development and financing of energy efficiency projects.
Maarten Wetselaar, CEO of Moeve, emphasised that the transformation of energy markets requires a high degree of agility. “The combination of Moeve’s energy expertise with Accenture’s strategic and technological vision enables us to offer comprehensive and differentiated solutions in a market undergoing profound transformation,” Wetselaar stated.
By focusing on data-driven execution and value chain transparency, the two companies aim to move industrial decarbonisation from high-level ambition to measurable operational reality.
