EcoVadis expands carbon data network with Carbmee partnership

EcoVadis, the global leader in sustainable supply chain ratings, has announced the further expansion of its Carbon Data Network (CDN) through a strategic partnership with Carbmee. This follows recent collaborations with Watershed, Sweep, and Normative, as EcoVadis seeks to create an interconnected carbon ecosystem that bridges the “trust gap” in Scope 3 reporting by prioritising verified, supplier-specific data over industry averages.

The Carbon Data Network is a key feature of the EcoVadis Carbon Action Manager (CAM), allowing sustainability teams to integrate primary emissions data into their existing accounting platforms. Carbmee brings advanced AI capabilities to the network via its Environmental Intelligence System, which identifies emissions hotspots at the individual product (SKU) level and links decarbonisation efforts directly to financial returns.

With over 175,000 companies currently using EcoVadis tools, the network aims to move the industry from broad estimations to precise decarbonisation.

“Meaningful climate action starts with data you can actually trust,” said Dexter Galvin, SVP and Climate Ambassador at EcoVadis. “By connecting EcoVadis’ primary supplier insights directly into the advanced analytics of Carbmee, we are enabling organisations to transform the global supply chain from a source of carbon risk into a driver of measurable climate resilience.”

Pierre-François Thaler, co-founder and co-CEO of EcoVadis, emphasised the necessity of shared data standards. “The journey to Net Zero demands bold action and, above all, interoperability,” Thaler said. “Whether a customer is focused on regulatory compliance or deep-tier Scope 3 analysis, EcoVadis provides the reliable, primary data layer required to make those tools effective.”
