Infrastructure investment specialist Lotus Infrastructure Partners has announced final closings representing approximately $1.8bn in total capital commitments across its flagship Lotus Infrastructure Fund IV, future co-investment vehicles, and a single-asset continuation vehicle.
Marking the largest fundraising effort in the firm’s history, Fund IV secured backing from a broad array of returning and new institutional investors. The fund is structured to deploy capital across core energy and related infrastructure segments, with an investment focus spanning power generation, transmission, battery storage, biofuels, and alternative fuels such as ammonia and methanol.
Addressing the market environment driving the fundraise, Himanshu Saxena, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lotus Infrastructure Partners, expressed gratitude for the continued support of their investors and noted their pleasure at completing the historic capital raise.
He stated that the sector was at a pivotal moment, with demand for new energy infrastructure reaching unprecedented levels driven by artificial intelligence and rising industrial consumption. He added that the firm’s two decades of investment experience positioned them well to deploy Fund IV effectively on behalf of their investors.
Advising on the capital raise, FirstPoint Equity Capital Ltd acted as exclusive global placement agent for the transaction, with Kirkland & Ellis LLP providing legal counsel.
