M&G Investments has appointed Jen Braswell as Global Head of Impact for its £83 billion private markets business, establishing a newly created executive role to scale the firm’s impact investment capabilities.
Reporting directly to Emmanuel Deblanc, Chief Investment Officer of Private Markets, Braswell will oversee product innovation, strategic partnerships, and impact assessment frameworks across M&G’s £13.8 billion impact platform, which includes specialist entities responsAbility, Catalyst, and P Capital Partners.
Braswell brings nearly three decades of sustainable finance experience to the role. She previously served as Managing Director of Global Impact at EQT and held senior leadership positions at British International Investment. Since January 2026, Braswell has acted as Senior Impact Advisor to responsAbility, a capacity she will retain alongside her new platform-wide responsibilities.
Key operational objectives and structural highlights of the appointment include:
- Platform Integration: Aligning M&G’s institutional scale with responsAbility’s emerging markets impact expertise to expand client offerings across private credit, infrastructure, real assets, and private equity.
- Targetmatic Focus: Directing capital toward key impact sectors, including climate mitigation, financial inclusion, sustainable food systems, and social infrastructure.
- Impact Governance: Enhancing global impact measurement, reporting standards, and origination capabilities across developed and emerging markets.
Emmanuel Deblanc, Chief Investment Officer of Private Markets at M&G Investments, stated: “Institutional investors increasingly want private markets strategies that can combine financial performance with clear, measurable impact. Jen’s appointment brings greater strategic focus to our approach as we accelerate product innovation, deepen partnerships and strengthen how we can deliver impact for clients at scale.”
Jen Braswell, incoming Global Head of Impact for Private Markets, added: “Impact investing has moved from a specialist allocation to a strategic priority for many institutional and private wealth investors. The next phase is about clarity of purpose, measurement and delivering investment propositions. M&G has the scale, expertise and breadth across private markets to continue to play a leading role, and I’m looking forward to working with teams across the business to help turn that potential into measurable outcomes for clients and the communities and sectors in which we invest.”
