EP Carbon launches drawn carbon to accelerate high-integrity nature projects

EP Carbon has announced the launch of Drawn Carbon, a digital platform designed to help early-stage nature-based carbon projects overcome traditional hurdles regarding transparency, quality, and investment. The platform aims to provide developers of ARR (Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation) and REDD+ projects with a streamlined pathway from initial concept to the issuance of credits.

Leveraging 16 years of market experience, Drawn Carbon digitises project design and implementation, enabling real-time measurement to ensure projects are investment-ready earlier in their lifecycle. The initiative arrives as the carbon market faces heightened scrutiny, with buyers increasingly prioritising the integrity of credits.

“The platform eliminates a huge amount of complexity,” said Michael Ackerman of the La Tigra ARR Project in Honduras. “You get expert project documentation in a matter of weeks, not years.” Ackerman noted that the tool is currently assisting in the restoration of degraded forests by establishing the necessary crediting pathways to attract backers.

EP Carbon CEO Dr. Kyle Holland stated that the platform represents the company’s most scalable solution to date. “It elevates accountability and proves quality in ways that haven’t been possible before,” Holland said. “Investors want transparency and line of sight into how projects perform. This platform delivers that digitally.”

A distinctive feature of Drawn Carbon is its direct integration with leading independent rating agencies, including BeZero, Calyx Global, and Sylvera. This allows developers to identify and mitigate risks during the design phase.

“Identifying risks earlier allows projects to take corrective action sooner, which ultimately accelerates the market’s shift toward higher-quality carbon credits,” said Allister Furey, CEO of Sylvera. Donna Lee, CEO of Calyx Global, added that the partnership helps identify “key integrity issues early in their customer’s design process.”
